Connie-Vee uses words and images to weave a beautiful, inspirational tapestry of color that connects us to our past, present, and future selves.

Her Afrofuturistic art, humorous and inspiring children’s stories, and messages about overcoming adversity are drawn from her experiences as a mother, educator, disabled cancer survivor, and Black woman navigating life in America.

Her work celebrates the power of seeing ourselves reflected on the screen, in a book, and on the canvas—particularly at a time when Black bodies, stories, and histories are increasingly vulnerable to erasure. Through her work, Connie-Vee reminds us that our value is not determined by who chooses to see us, include us, or celebrate us.
